Baby Birds

There are some baby birds under the neighbor’s pontoon boat. The Mom is always flying around the boat, screeching at everyone that goes near there. And every time they take the boat out, the Mom just flies around where the boat used to be until the boat comes back. You think the Mother would learn that a nest under a boat isn’t the best idea, but she’s been doing it for 10 years now. Of course, there is also a Daddy bird, but you don’t see him very often. There are 5 baby birds in the nest, they have really big eyes and are really cute. Kate went under there one time to look at them, and all of a sudden, all five of them just flew out of the nest and straight towards her. She jumped back just in time to see the baby birds fly right in front of her face. After that we didn’t see them until later in the evening, they flew back into the nest to stay the night. I’m not sure if they’re still there or not. But now that they can fly, I bet they will never be back.
