The First Thing Done

Guess what the first thing I did when I walked into China was? Try to pack all our stuff into a Taxi? Eat Chinese food? Saying "Hi" to old friends? Nope. The first thing did was lose my passport in a washroom. We just crossed Immigration and I had to go to the washroom. We were in a hurry to get to the hotel, so I put my passport down on the back of the toilet seat. On the way out, I forgot it there. It wasn't until we got to the hotel that was about an hour and a half by subway and express train that we found out that I had left my passport at the airport. When we got there, they asked to see our passports before we were aloud to check in. And I didn't really want to tell my parents that I left my passport in the bathroom, but I had to eventually. So when they found out, they got angry, but not as angry as I thought they would be. My mom and one of the other teachers had to go back to the airport anyway to pick some people up. I was really worried that they wouldn't find my passport, but they did. My mom said it couldn't have been easier if they would have handed it to them when they walked in. They just went to the lost and found, told them my name, age, birth date, and the looked in their desk, pulled out a passport, and asked,"Is this it?" At first they wanted me to go sign for it, but my mom convinced them that I didn't need to. (And I was jet lagged so I wouldn't have felt like going anyway) But I'm glad that it turned out that way, or else I would be a outlaw now:)

First Day of School

Our first day of school at QSI went ok. As soon as we got there, we had Music. You were aloud to choose between Instrumental and Vocal, I choose Vocal because I like singing. We had Music from 8:05 to 9:35 because we had double period. Then we had reading, but our teacher switched it from Reading to Language Arts because he teaches both. Then we had break from 10:20 to 10:40. After that we had Language Art(Which remained Language Arts) till 11:25. For Language Arts that day we did a quick write about "What is the most exiting place you've ever been to?" or something like that, and we had to finish it in 15 minuets. I wrote about the Thailand Night Market. After that we did Math. We did review test so the teacher could know what level we are at. Then we had Lunch at 12:10. Lunch didn't go that well because almost everyone got food at the Cafeteria, and all I had was one sandwich. So that took me about 5 minuets to finish while most of the students didn't even start eating yet. So the only thing I could do until 12:55 was read my book. (Which as you might know isn't that bad for me.) Right after Lunch was over, we had Science. We got our text books and talked about Science safety rules. After that, at 1:40, we had double period again for PE. Then at 3:10, we got our stuff and went home. It was the first day of school, it was hard, but it wasn't as hard as I thought it would be:)
