Getting Out

This morning I woke up and it was pitch black outside. I didn't think anyone was awake so I was about to go back to sleep. But then, I heard my Mom's alarm clock. So I dragged myself out of bed and started carrying suitcases up the stares and into the car. We have to leave at quarter to 5, get to the airport at 5:30, check in, but our flight only starts till 7. After 2 hours, we will land in Vancouver and wait there till our flight to Beijing, China leaves. That flight is about 11 hours long and we will get there on Friday. Then we will stay in a hotel until Sunday, then we will fly from Beijing to Chengdu. After that we have some conferences to go to and a house to pick. When we get to Beijing I will explain the whole trip clearer. We each get two suitcase and a carry on and a computer bag, not much to live on for three years, but it will have to do.
We are leaving to drive to the Saskatoon airport now, Wish me luck!

Fishing

Kate, my Grandpa, my cousin Tamara, and I went out fishing. We all have the same hooks the looked like a real fish, but only a lot smaller. My cousin and I couldn't catch a fish so we changed hooks to the ones that were an oval, with a green background and black spots. A little while after that, Kate caught a pickerel. Then I caught a pickerel. But my cousin couldn't catch a signal fish. Kate was about to catch another fish, but then she got it up to the boat, it jumped off the hook and swam away. Tamara and I got a few nibbles, but all of them let go :( Kate caught another one though, so all together we had three pickerel. Since Tamara couldn’t catch any, my Grandma let her drive the boat. On the way back, she did a few doughnuts. (Which is going around in circles to make big waves)
We went on another fishing trip the next morning, but it as a lot shorter. First we did some fishing and Tamara caught a Jack, then we did some jiggling. Jiggling is where you just stop in one place and just wait for a fish to bite. As soon as we started, Tamara caught a really We went on another fishing trip the next morning, but it as a lot shorter. First we did some fishing and Tamara caught a Jack, then we did some jiggling. Jiggling is where you just stop in one place and just wait for a fish to bite. As soon as we started, Tamara caught a really big fish, so big that it looked like the fishing rod as about to break. But by the time she finally got it to the boat, it had let go :( After that no one else caught a fish, but Kate did catch something else. She was so exited about catching something, but it turned out to be the boat :) On the way home, Kate was the one that was driving, and she tried to make a doughnut. After that my Grandpa gutted them and my Grandma will cook them, and we will have them for a meal some time. (But I don't like eating fish so I won't have any)
